My paintings are expressive forms of nature's spirit and energy using a single, brush stroke technique (sumi-e) on rice paper. Rather than freeze or capture a moment, I try to bring forth the subject's essence and flow of life through the dynamics of these monochromatic strokes. Sometimes, I apply colored washes to enhance mood.
